The basic idea of web accessibility is to make web content "accessible" to every Internet users whatever be their disabilities or difficulties; these disabilities can be visual, auditory, cognitive or physical. It is also considering the difference of hardware, software or broadband among the Internet user. To make content accessible means that each user can have access to it, whether by being able to download it, to read it, to have it read by a vocal synthesis and to understand it. But this also means that each user can be able to use all the functionalities offered by a website, like filling out a formulary or clicking on a link. Web Accessibility must also consider that different Internet users will use different configurations to browse the Internet; it concerns their broadband connexion, their hardware (computer, mobile phone, PDA...) and software.
